Symphonic Band

The Appalachian State University Symphonic Band is an auditioned ensemble that meets during the spring semester each academic year.  Auditions for membership are held in January just before the start of classes.  Students placing into the Symphonic Band receive one hour of academic credit by enrolling in MUS 1101.  The band rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-1:45 PM, and presents two concerts on campus each spring in addition to off-campus performances from time to time.
